Welcome to our abode!
BTW you've got it wrong--lurkers are under the porch. Now that you've
properly introduced yourself you get your choice of empty seats ON the
porch, long as you behave yourself.
>>I hope that hasn't put too many of you to sleep. And now,
>>back to my spot under the Porch.
Good to see another woodturner on board. That's my passion currently.
Although right now it looks like I'm more a bowl blank collector than
turner.
>>I'm married, again..
Yeah, sometimes you need a practice run to get it right. My second time is
way better than the first.
Looks like you've made a good start on a basic set of galoot tools. If you
pay attention, there are people here that'll show you how to fill out your
sta---stas---toolbox.
.>At present that means a few dozen Disstons, about 100
>Stanley, M-F and other planes (what slope?), half a dozen
>drawknives, a dozen spokeshaves, or so, and a small
>boat-load of asstd chisels. Of course, I also have a
>miniscule group of ancillary tools as well, and the luck
>to know a talented blacksmith, Eric Zeig, who is willing to
>make up froes, marking knives and other oddities for me with
>little prompting.
Set a spell, and the next time you come, invite your friends.
