Hi All, Just dropping a note to introduce myself. I'm Frank Faubert and I'm definitely a beginner with hand tools. I have worked with tailed ones on and off for about four years though. At our new home in London Ontario, I have been relegated to the basement so I need something a little easier on the ears and the nerves. I had thought of building furniture for fun and profit but I would like to thank Brian Buckner (see thread Two New Saws) for single handedly kneecapping that idea. I think I'll just build for fun for now. Well, that's it for now. Thanks, Frank |

Matt, Welcome! > I ran into a mother lode of rusty planes that I’ve been > cleaning up. It would be bad taste to post a gloat in a bio, wouldn’t it? Ok, (5) bedrocks, (3) 4 1/2, 5 1/2, Sarg 708, 65, 3’s, 4’s, 6’s, 7’s, 60’s, and a massive chute-board plane that will be the topic of another post. Total 32 planes, $7 each ;)) If it makes you feel any better, they are pretty rusty. And what better way to give a Galoot welcome, than this- You Suck!
