Hello,

My name is Scott Quesnelle. I am 27 years old. I have been lurking on the
list for the last month or so. I live in Guelph, Ont. I work as a Software
Developer (Computer bit herder). I am currently starting to put together
my shop. So far I am babysitting a Frank Klaus style bench (That needs
flattening but don't want to plane someone else's bench) A few tailed
apprentices. My meager plane collection includes a Record #5, a no-name
russian made horned woodie, and an Alex Mathieson wooden smoother that I'm
trying to rehabilitate, and most of a stanley #5, also have a 6 inch
falcon that is lacking a capiron . My saw collection consists of one Home
hardware
crosscut saw, one Canadian Tire backsaw, and a Disston & Sons D8 5pt. Rip
saw. All three need a sharpening.

I currently work out of the basement of my townhouse. Hoping to have a
more permanent shop. I also do blacksmithing when the weather is warm.

So anyone know any good spots to hunt for rust in this area?
Know anyone that I can send my saws to for sharpening? (Want to see and
feel what a sharp saw is like before I attempt it)

I am also looking for anyone in the area that would be willing to spend a
bit of time teaching me or letting me watch them work. Will give
sweat-equity.

Anything that I missed?

Sounds like I will have to visit Guelph this summer to do some
hammering, eh?

Not really... I do most of my rust hunting up near our summer cottage
(north of Kingston).  You already know about the Tools Of The Trade 
sale in Pickering on April 7th, right?  See you there I hope...
