Thomas Sauntry, Woodstock GA.
Retired Navy pilot now working as an engineer at Lockheed Martin
Aeronautical Systems. Started into woodworking in 1976 when I decided to
build a doghouse. Got a Craftsman table saw and got started. Did mostly
projects around the house. Then about ten years ago I got interested in hand
tools and started lurking around antique shops looking for planes and
chisels. Now I seem to spend more time restoring and sharpening old tools
than I do making stuff. So, I have
set a goal of making at least two Shaker pieces this year for the wife. If
they turn out I will make duplicates for the two married sons. I really
enjoy both this forum and Badger Pond.
