There are at least two of us that speak French, Bruno and myself. I think Don in Calgary can get himself into trouble in a Montreal bar as well...... Earlier there was a reference to "caouthchouc". That is the French word for rubber (the material). In French Canada, it is a colloquialism for "Rubbers" (the overshoes). I know of no link to woodworking tools.
