271002 "dks@t..." <dks@t...> 2020‑05‑26 Stanley combination plane screwdriver
I've never owned a Stanley combination plane, perhaps because I tried one years
ago. However, I have a small screwdriver which appears to me to be the same as
the screwdriver that Stanley shipped with these planes. It is unmarked, so I
can't say for certain. I am wondering if these are unique in any way, or is it a
form and size which was generally available on the market at some point? Here's
a link to a plane in Patrick Leach's May offerings which displays the
screwdriver.

Don,

Thank You Very Much for your post with the link to the screwdriver for a Stanley
45.

I unknowingly bought one of those screwdrivers a few years back. I thought it
was just an attractive unmarked small “turn-screw” flat-blade style screwdriver.
I paid a buck. It’s a dead ringer.

You just tipped me off that it should live in the box with my #45!

Thanks Again!
John Ruth

My thanks along with John Ruth's! I have one complete #45 in a
leatherette case, except for the screw driver. But I have one, maybe
two of these, and one will definitely go into the case!

Hmm, a have a few of those. Exactly how long is it? May have to liberate
that to others.
