Seems time to re-post my hanging cabinet. It was built when I worked out of an
urban garage that opened close to the street, so it had a lock installed then
and was closed up when left off working. Since moving to a nice quiet little
town, it has hung open on the wall on french cleats.

I also have a bog standard floor chest w/ three sliding tills that is perhaps
100 or more years old. I bought for an offer I couldn’t refuse from a PATINA
tool dealer that didn’t want to take it home again. I use it to hold tools that
are used less than on a daily basis.
Both solutions work well, but I find the hanging cabinet is more functional for
me.
