248131 David Nighswander <wishingstarfarm663@m...> 2014‑05‑24 Found a new old hunting ground
Took a different way home a while back and found a honey hole marked with a
small sign.
Not sharing this one guys. I haven’t had a chance to look at everything yet.
I did manage to scrape up enough cash for a couple tools. One of them is a Topps
Framing Tool.
It has a bevel gage type adjustable wooden bar on the side.

There are engraved charts on each side of the blade that weren’t apparent until
I cleaned up the blade.

I also picked up a Yankee North Brothers No. 41 push drill. I have seen several
of these in the wild but usually in too rough a shape to consider a user.
I had never known that there was bit storage in the handle until after I bought
it and spun the knurled collar under the handle. The handle popped open and it
held 8 bits.

There are spaces for 10.

I’ll be going back there again.

Why do you suppose Hart's Framing Tool never caught on? Looks like a great
design.
